Great hotel for families. Great pools and access to beach. Could use some walking maps to stores/food/area sites.

Great place to stay. Luxurious. Very courteous and attentive staff. When we checked-in they upgraded us from "no ocean view" to "full ocean view" with a balcony for no extra cost.

The Renaissance Eden Roc Hotel is a resort quality hotel located right on Miami Beach. The room was modern and spacious, with a wonderful balcony overlooking the ocean. Access to the boardwalk was delightful. The staff was top-notch, and went out of their way to assist us when we needed to leave luggage behind for a side trip to Key West. I have nothing but praise for the Eden Roc. ...read more

Stayed four nights at the Eden Roc in mid-December and it is a beautiful property. We traveled through Southern Florida and the Florida Keys over a two week span, staying at seven different hotels/resorts and this was easily our favorite. There are some signs that this is an old resort, but they have renovated and maintained it well. We got a large room on the 7th floor with a king-size bed with a large balcony with a view of the pool area and ocean on one side, and the inter coastal on the other side. Not sure if all rooms are similar to ours, but we were very happy with our room considering we were customers. The hotel is located right on the beach in a quiet part of Middle Beach. Beach is accessible across the pool area and then over the public boardwalk. There isn't much around the resort except for other hotels and resorts, but restaurants and shops in South Beach and Middle Beach are easily accessible by car (including a great seafood restaurant called Fifi's Place a couple miles north up the road). Oh, another plus is that the pools (which are heated) and hot tubs are open 24 hours a night. This was the only hotel we stayed at that keep the pools and hot tubs open 24/7. Great for a late night dip or soak after a night out! The only negative for this hotel is that they do not offer self parking and only valet parking (at a whopping price of $26 per night). However, there is a large public lot immediately adjacent to the north of the hotel that is open 24/7 at much cheaper rates. The parking there is free overnight between 6:00 PM and 8:00 AM, and one dollar per hour the rest of the time. If you do use this lot, you have to wake up from your restful sleep a few minutes before 8:00 AM and feed the meter as you are not allowed to pay a day ahead of time. It's funny to see the dozens of folks (both customers and surprisingly many hotel staffers). ...read more

Solo Traveler
It felt like a recently renovated Marriott/Renaissance. If you have points, it's worth the stay. Just depends on what scene you are looking for. South Beach is a bit far but not if you take cabs.
